چکیده

INTRODUCTION Every year in Poland 56,000 outside the hospital there is a sudden cardiac arrest.
OBJECTIVES The aim of study was to determine level knowledge basic life support undertaken prehospital management rural areas. second objective assess needs for cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) training among adults areas.
MATERIAL AND METHODS carried out with use an original questionnaire based on review literature and guidelines European Resuscitation Council. shared by social media. consisted following parts: metric, experience previous CPR, about assessment demand interest expanding skills CPR. A total 501 responses were collected, which 316 from adult, non-medical residents analyzed.
RESULTS Over 85% respondents knew how consciousness victim, 95% when start About 33% did not know correct location chest compressions. Moreover 65% them could identify frequency Although rib fracture one most commonly cited concerns, it potential reason discontinue CPR only 4.5% respondents.
CONCLUSIONS It observed that need additional adult residents. information collected this may allow planning appropriate educational activities increase heart accidents.

Early cardiopulmonary resuscitation in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

BACKGROUND Three million people in Sweden are trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Whether this training increases the frequency of bystander CPR or the survival rate among persons who have out-of-hospital cardiac arrests has been questioned. METHODS We analyzed a total of 30,381 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests witnessed in Sweden from January 1, 1990, through December 31, 2011, to...

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation duty cycle in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

BACKGROUND Duty cycle is the portion of time spent in compression relative to total time of the compression-decompression cycle. Guidelines recommend a 50% duty cycle based largely on animal investigation. We undertook a descriptive evaluation of duty cycle in human resuscitation, and whether duty cycle correlates with other CPR measures. METHODS We calculated the duty cycle, compression dept...

The Aassociation between Pre-Cardiac Arrest Comorbidity and Unsuccessful Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Patients with Cardiac Arrest

Background and Objective: Patients suffering from cardiac arrest (CA) have poor prognosis and survival. The association of pre-arrest comorbidity with unsuccessful resuscitation in patients with CA is far from clear. The aim of the present study was to investigate the association between pre-existing comorbidity and unsuccessful resuscitation following CA in Iranian patients. Materials and Met...

Quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation during out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

CONTEXT Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guidelines recommend target values for compressions, ventilations, and CPR-free intervals allowed for rhythm analysis and defibrillation. There is little information on adherence to these guidelines during advanced cardiac life support in the field. OBJECTIVE To measure the quality of out-of-hospital CPR performed by ambulance personnel, as measured...

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation for out of hospital cardiac arrest.

BACKGROUND Dispatcher-assisted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (DA-CPR) attempts to improve the management of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest by laypersons who are unable to recognize cardiac arrest and are unfamiliar with CPR. Therefore, we investigated the sensitivity and specificity of our new DA-CPR protocol for achieving implementation of bystander CPR in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest victim...
